It's Friday but I'm not going to do a "Friday" post because I FINISHED SCHOOL FOR THE YEAR!!
(and that ordeal was only to keep myself posting when I had no time) It is definitely a huge load off my mind.
We've been super busy lately. (well, it feels like it... ya I'd say we are) Probably because everyone works. (hey, I never realized that) But nothing really interesting is happening at the moment so there is nothing to say on here. :)

Poetry
Sweaters, Dresses, Pants, and Shirts,
Jackets, socks and shoes,
Makeup, gel, flat tops, and shirts,
They are all there for you to choose.

Your outer appearance this does concern,
Ties, bracelets, headbands, boots'
Poofs, shoulder pads, please discern.
Haha! To the many dying roots.

Long ago there used to be,
Knee highs and white wigs for men.
Now we laugh when this we see
and do our hair in spikes of ten.

Remember this, my final word,
The styles of this time will leave.
We'll laugh, saying we all were nerds,
At what we tried so hard to achieve.

If you think you'll be able to look back at today and laugh about it- why not do it today?

And the Night Shall Be Filled with Music

Then read from the treasured volume
 The poem of thy choice,
And lend to the rhyme of the poet
The beauty of thy voice.

And the night shall be filled with music,
And the cares that infest the day
Shall fold their tents like the Arabs,
And as silently steal away.

Poetry
The blessedness of sleeping late,
The healing powers of sleep,
The resting body's obvious fate,
Its healthiness to keep.

So let me sleep a little longer.

And all around shall be perfect bliss
Because, in the end, I have won.

The Contradiction

The morning breaks as soft, full radiance forms
Causing shadows to glow - the hues: artistic Hand arranged.
Reflections dance from silvered waters’ born.
Her eyes open gently to behold -
What beauties fair to greet her vision then?
Darkness.

The salt sea pounding on the ocean floor below
Causing waterfowls’ song - harmonious; a weathered tone of praise.
Laughter rings from child’s joyous, sandy play.
He saunters through, and strains to grasp but one -
What melodies fall and land upon his ear?
Silence.

Enthralled with the rapture of a light-revealing Grace
Causing heart to enlarge - nearly burst - till someone he must tell.
Ineffable words of life form upon tied-tongue.
His lips quiver, yearning just to speak -
How sounds the triumph, verbosity in heart?
Muted.

Fair elegance flies swiftly, ‘midst tranquil sound and stage
Causing lifted face and eyes - the dancer: silhouetted form erect.
Elated soul, through graceful art, expressed.
She watches spellbound, wishing just to rise -
What artful praise shall her own limbs convey?
Stillness.

Then morning breaks, on golden, celestial shore
Causing shadows to flee - illumination: radiant Lamb of God!
Her eyes unveiled to behold…
His ears effulgent grasp the strain…
His loosened tongue never more to stutter…
Her lifeless limbs now dance in rhapsodical delight…
Free from limitation - the temporal bars of flesh
Infinite duration - discovering, creating, reveling in
An inexhaustible love and life
The earthly, finite mold - cannot acquiesce.
